Neil obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in 1976 and followed that with a Masters degree in Philosophy in 1978. He then graduated from the Faculty of Law in 1982, and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1983. Neil became a Partner of the firm in 1987.
Neil is past winner of the McEachern Humanitarian Prize and the William Irvine Memorial Award in Ethics. He currently devotes his practice to personal injury and insurance litigation. Neil is a volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart & Stroke Foundation, enjoys travel (particularly in South East Asia), and is proud of being the "least bad" golfer in the firm.
